Proactive monitoring for Business Central

Wise BC Cloud Monitor

Proactive operations for Business Central

Wise BC Cloud Monitor

We take care of updates, monitoring and backups in Business Central in the cloud.

Four weak spots nobody is watching

Business Central in the cloud is constantly evolving. Without oversight, these four things can go wrong without anyone noticing.

Updates

Updates arrive automatically from Microsoft, but without oversight one can land the day before month-end. Updating many apps and custom solutions is a lot of manual work.

Job queues that stop

A job queue that stops often goes unnoticed until a user runs into the consequences. That can be costly.

Data volume and number of environments

Both can grow quickly. Without monitoring, there is a risk of reacting too late.

Backups

Standard backups only reach back 28 days. That is not always enough if data loss is discovered later or regulations require a longer history.

Comprehensive operations for Business Central in the cloud

Let experts run your Business Central environment from A to Z.

Updates

We get updates into your production environment at the right time for your business, along with the apps installed there.

Monitoring

We keep an eye on the database and respond to recurring errors, for example from job queues. We find the root cause if errors or delays keep coming up.

Data

Backup service, monitoring of environment size and of the number of environments in use. That way we prevent unexpected data storage costs.

Who is it for? Small and medium-sized businesses that use Business Central in the cloud (SaaS). We prevent problems through safe, reliable operations.

Five examples from day-to-day operations

This is how Wise BC Cloud Monitor prevents problems before your staff ever notice them.

Updates never land on payday

A company that runs payroll and sends out invoices at month-end.

The problem

An update to the system must not land on the wrong day. Downtime or disruption around a payroll run or invoicing can delay payments to staff and the sending of invoices.

The solution

Wise BC Cloud Monitor schedules all updates around the customer's operational needs and avoids predefined dates.

Benefits

  • No risk of an update disrupting payroll or invoicing
  • Full control over when updates take place
  • Security and predictability

Predictable operations instead of unpleasant surprises

The five examples on one page: what can go wrong, what we do and what you gain.

Frequently asked questions

But isn't this part of the service agreement?

No. The service agreement gives you access to Wise's expertise in Business Central. You can turn to us when you need advice or assistance, and the agreement includes a service portal and a discount on the hourly rate.

Wise BC Cloud Monitor, on the other hand, is a proactive service. Wise's experts monitor the system and respond before you notice the problem. This requires a monitoring system, telemetry and work that goes on whether or not anyone gets in touch.

Nothing is taken away from the service agreement. Everything included in it remains in effect, and Wise BC Cloud Monitor is added on top.

Doesn't Microsoft take care of the updates?

Microsoft updates the core system. We make sure the apps keep pace, that the timing suits you and that the test environment is updated first.

We have our own IT department. What changes?

Wise BC Cloud Monitor takes load off them. Notifications go to the email address of your technical contact, and you decide what is done.

Who is Wise BC Cloud Monitor for?

Small and medium-sized businesses that use Business Central in the cloud (SaaS) and want safe, predictable operations without handling the monitoring themselves. Plus is designed for medium-sized and large companies.

What is included for job queues and backups?

Core and Plus include 10 job queues and backup up to 100 GB. If you need more, an additional package applies for every further 10 job queues and every further 100 GB.

What is not included?

The following is invoiced separately: training, changes to functionality and reports, custom changes that break during an update, work with data, errors in partner apps and in the Microsoft core system, data restoration and new environments from scratch.

What do we need to provide?

One technical contact, preferably with a shared email address, and admin access for Wise to Business Central for the duration of the agreement.

The test environment must be named [production environment name]_TEST in order to be updated. Other sandbox environments are not touched.

What if we already use telemetry ourselves?

Then we will look together at how best to approach it. The Wise BC Cloud Monitor operation app will need access to your telemetry.
