Wise signs agreement to acquire Þekking

Wise and the owners of Þekking have signed an agreement for Wise to acquire 100% of the shares in Þekking.

Þekking is a leading Icelandic IT company specializing in managed services and infrastructure operations for businesses and institutions. The acquisition will create one of the strongest technology companies in Iceland, with nearly 200 employees across Reykjavík and Akureyri, and combined annual revenues exceeding ISK 4 billion. The transaction is subject to approval by the Icelandic Competition Authority.

Wise has long been a market leader in the sale and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and has developed a wide range of business solutions on that platform. In recent years, Wise has expanded its product portfolio and shifted its offerings to cloud-based services, which has driven increased demand for infrastructure, managed services, and cybersecurity.

Þekking, in turn, has built a strong reputation for reliable and secure IT operations. With approximately 60 employees based in Akureyri and Kópavogur, the company has provided long-standing, high-quality service to a broad range of customers.
