Two categories

Process analysis is divided into two categories

Workflow Analysis -  a detailed analysis of work processes within organizational units is carried out. The analysis is based on interviews or conversations with stakeholders, so it is important that the analyst has easy access to the parties working within the process. At the end of the analysis, a report is delivered describing the current processes and listing options for improvement.  

System Analysis - an analysis of the technical environment of organization is carried out. The analysis is based on interviews or conversations with managers where systems and the roles they perform are described. At the end of the analysis, a report is delivered describing the current environment and listing options for improvement.
